A few of us decided to head off for a couple of days down the West Coast.
The route was flexible (especially with Jack's SatNav ;D) but we ended up covering the following:
Ballymena - Magilligan - Donegal - Mullaghmore Head - Sligo - Achill Island - Westport - Clifden - Galway -
Athenry - Roscommon - Enniskillen - Castledawson - Ballymena
Athenry - Roscommon - Enniskillen - Castledawson - Ballymena
A total of over 700 miles covered in the 4 days we were away and it was a cracking time throughout. The weather was pretty kind as well up until our return yesterday when the showers were heavy and frequent.
Anyway, I managed to take a few (very few I'm afraid ) pictures of some parts of the trip but I know Marty was snapping away as well so hopefully he'll get his posted up.
Two of us ready for the off from Dunsilly Roundabout
Magilligan Ferry
The Fighting Ninja made an appearance in Donegal
A wee place called Mullaghmore Head - sadly the shop owner didn't have any Sundaes! (Marty will explain )
We couldn't go through Sligo without a stop off for a pint at this place
Finally a panoramic (new app on the phone and bored Marty and Jack silly showing it off ) of a lake in the mountains on our way to Achill Island - stunning scenery

As I said, there were plenty of photo opportunities but I'm out of the habit and found the riding, company and drinking too much of a distraction to remember to snap it all - I'll get better as the trips come along ;D. Marty managed to find two new stopovers (Donegal & Athenry) which were on the money and I've got to admit they pull a cracking pint of Guinness on Achill as well.
Best of all was I managed the whole trip without an ache or pain throughout - well, ignoring the numb arse of course! Now looking forward to our wee weekend next month.
