Just back from Walderstown Roasd races
Bit of a mixed fortune. Lost my transponder must have dropped of the bike heading out of the paddock, on the first practice.
Due to no transponder i did not get any official times, but according to a few of the other riders and time keepers I was 3rd fastest overall.
To my shock they then put me on the back of the Non Qualifiers grid because they had no official times. I had to borrow Craig Gibsons Transponder to go out in the Non Qualifiers race.
Had a good run from the back of the grid I lead the race up to the 8th lap then over shot a corner allowing another fella through(Damian Howard - Finished 5th in the main race at skerries last week) who also was put to the back of the grid with me . Stuck with him until the finish but just could not get past him. FiniIhed 2nd .8 of a second behind him. Fastest lap of the race and i got 200 euro and a trophy for it.
The second race was a complete bollox. Got my transponder back, founds by a marshall. started the race at the back of the grid again, on the second wave of bikes. Caught up on the first group who had a 15 second lead, passed most of them. At the flag I was the 5th over the line with the 3rd and 2nd about 10 meters ahead and the first over the line in sight. Thought I had the race won no problems, everbody else was of the same opinion. When the time sheets came out i was credited with 9th place. I had a chat with the time keepers who refused to budge on the decission stating the computer does not make mistakes. The said my transponder may be faulty. They were fully aware where I finished but would not change the sheets.
Had a look at the race results on the Mylaps website for the second race, compared the lap times and lap positions and this showed I won the race
see below
]
This is my lap times compared to the supposed winner of the race. if you workout the difference I was about 1.5 second ahead of him at the line.
I have contacted the race organiser and asked him to look into the race results in a bit more detail. the lap count shows me as the 5th bike through the flag and i started in the second group 15 seconds behind the first group.
Hopefull justice will prevail and i wil be awarded the race win along with another 300 euro!
Have a look at the mylaps site to see if you can work this out
This is the finishing positions here www.mylaps.com/results/newResults.jsp?id=593574
and this is the position of the riders on each lap www.mylaps.com/results/newLapchart.jsp?id=593574
Sorry to put you all through this but it is realy pissing me off knowing I won the race and now having to prove it to the organisers because of a probable computer error
