Loads of different options available but I ended up going for a Blackvue (click HERE for the website). I got the 380 HD with GPS which I fitted just below the rear view mirror and wired up to the Fuse Box. It records on a rolling loop and goes into Parking Mode (activated by movement) when you're stopped for more than 10 minutes or so. What I also like about it is the GPS/mapping feature which shows your location, route covered, speed (if you want ) etc. If nothing else it will mean you have 'evidence' of what actually happened. Not the cheapest around but....... M.

Looks good and a decent price. Shame if it's not waterproof though as that's one thing you can guarantee will be needed on a bike over here.... M. PS. I can see manufacturers making monitoring cameras (front and rear) an option in the not too distant future as well as insurance companies offering discounts if fitted etc etc. Sign of the times unfortunately.....
