It appears the TT scorceboard run by the Scouts etc during races might be a thing of the past if some have their way. Apparently it's due to be dissembled so that road works can be completed but engineers have found problems with the metal structure? There's a fear that it might be retired and an electronic version put in its place. Now, I understand the need for progress and an electronic version is a more modern solution but what about the tradition of using the Scouts to provide the updates? Personally their involvement has always been part of the atmosphere and I can't really see any reason for not continuing? Nothing has been confirmed either way but how often have you seen change in the name of progress/modernisation? I've signed in support of the Scouts and, if you feel the same, you can sign here: M.
