Short run today, set off at 10-30am and it's another scorcher of a day 35 degrees and 90% humidity. Found a cool place for a while. Stopped off at the Wright Brothers museum in Kitty Hawk. Then we stopped for the night at the John Yancey Inn in Kill Devil Hills, right on the beach front.

Loving the fridge mate and what a view! The other crew are having a ball in San Francisco at the moment as well so I'm the only one left out! Feckers! Anyway, while you lot are away living the dream, I decided to cheer myself up yesterday with a spur of the moment purchase (well, actually I've always wanted one so.....): Keep safe and let us know how it's going - more photos! M.

Stopped in a motel in Tennessee. Did the Dragons Tail today, F*ck what a road, I've never seen so many Harley's in my life.
Just having a BBQ and listening to some country and bluegrass music by a local singer.
Tomorrow is Pikes Peak Yeeeha.

Hi Phil, Hey, you can't have it all you know - Harleys are an occupational hazard over there mate! Look carefully and you might see two fellas we know touring along.... Must admit I've been intrigued by Pikes Peak ever since getting my Mutley so would be interested to hear what you thought. Keep safe and enjoy. M.

Stopped for the night in Dalhart, Texas, a one horse town, traveled from Oklahoma today, there's some very straight roads with the occasional curve.

Liking the weather you're getting - peeing down here as I type! The straight road bit always concerned me as I wondered how I'd keep myself from day dreaming or, worse still, nodding off! Do you look to break it up with regular stops or is it Red Bull all the way?!? All the best, Mark PS. How was Pikes Peak?

Break the straight roads up with breaks, although have been caught out a couple of times when I have been day dreaming and a bend suddenly appears.
Some cracker roads today, almost taken out by Bambi and his ma when they jumped out of the ditch and run across the road, just missed the ma by about 5 feet.
Doing Pikes Peak tomorrow.

Hi mate, Got my days mixed up! Look forward to hearing about Pikes Peak next. Be really careful regarding those bloody deer (although it's not really their fault I suppose) they're bigger than you think and feckin heavy with it! Friend hit one in England a few years back and I saw the damage they do to cars in Germany never mind bikes! Keep safe fella, Mark

Have you ever hyped yourself up to do something, been so excited with anticipation, felt a tingling inside, only tp be so disappointed when you do it.
A bit like getting off with a stunning woman, getting back to her place only to find that when you slip the hand she has a bigger dick than you.
Well that what Pikes Peak was like yesterday, ridiculously low speed limits, 25 - 35 mph, rigidly enforced by the rangers, no overtaking slower traffic.
I have never been so frustrated riding a road as this, in hindsight I should I should got to the road really early in the morning to get a traffic free run.
Going for a run around Aspen Colorado today.

It happens like that sometimes but at least you've 'done' Pikes Peak! Enjoy Aspen. M.

Rode from Mexican Hat, close to Monument Valley, over the Moki Doki highway and through Utah, totally mind blowing scenery and some outstanding twisty roads ( some long straight roads to ).
Grand Canyon tomorrow.

Your right about impressive views, went to the north rim, far less people and not as commercialised, but great empty twisty roads to it.
A scorcher of a day, stopped in Kenab tonight, then going to Zion, Hoover Dam and overnight in Boulder tomorrow.

I think Marty and jack did the Hoover Dam during their tour. The whole area is pretty stunning. M. PS. Apologies for the delay in replying - the internet was shit where I was staying in Berlin, seriously shit!
