I'm considering selling the TL
I had a test run on a GSXR1000K7 last Saturday and was mightly impressed, but still haven't made my mind up.
GS in Hillsborough offered me buttons for the TL as a trade-in, as she stands, but valued her at £2,200 for a private sale and honestly, I wouldn't let her go for any less. So is anyone interested or know of anyone looking for a clean reliable bike?
Here's the full SP:
1997 Suzuki TL1000SV
· First registered 01 May 1997
· Three owners
· 36.8K miles, taxed to April 10, MOT until May 10
· Full service history available from 8K miles and all MOT certificates from 2002.
· Regular oil and filter changes, however, the bike is now due a 15K service
· Michelin Road 2 dual compound tyres. Rear replaced at 30.8K miles (about 1K left), front replaced 33.5K
· DID 530ZVM2 chain fitted @ 34K (106 links with JT sprockets F18, R40)
· New Varta battery fitted last year
· Nothing bodged or seized
Modifications:
· Fuel tank modification with the most recent fuel pump gasket fitted
· 98+ clutch cover
· Front petal discs, carbon effect stainless lines, 6 piston calipers (rebuilt with new seals), Carbone Lorraine sbk5 pads, 19mm GSXR radial master cylinder
· Full thermostat modification with custom ‘T’ piece for the bypass and 89 degree stat (typically runs 83* - 85*)
· Trak-Tech shorty brake and clutch levers (quality CRG copies)
· 1/5 throttle insert
· Sprint multi-adjustable steering damper
· Polished and anodised mirror stay
· Ermax smoked screen (not a great fit)
· Oxford heated grips (switched through a 30 amp relay)
· Stainless bar ends
· R&G frame protectors
· R&G fork protectors
· Carbon effect fuel tank cap
· Motografix tank pad
· Loads of stainless fasteners including full engine case kit
· Pattern carbon effect ZX9R mirrors
· Front forks rebuilt/overhauled with heavier springs by PLR suspension
· Pro-bolt anodised pre-load adjusters
· Carbon fibre yoke protector
· Powerbronze colour matched belly pan
· Powerbronze hugger
· Front mudguard/fender extender
· Stainless radiator cover
· Stainless oil cooler cover
· K&N filter
· ‘01’ ECU fitted and original ‘00’ available (both flashed for cans/filter)
· Upgraded headlight bulbs
· Oberon footrests and phosphor bronze gear pedal bush fitted
· Maxton rear shock
· Yoshimura RS3 carbon slip-on cans
· Scottoiler
· Rear carbon effect stainless brake line
· HRC rear brake reservoir
· 100* - 95* fan switch (brings the fan on 5* earlier)
· Pillion seat, hump, handbook and OE toolkit
· Rotary damper, left-hand original can and chain-guard included.
Cosmetically good/very good and gets admired on a regular basis. There is some staining on the frame. The belly pan and engine have had their fair share of stone chips. Very reliable and runs very well.
