He's done well on the time, I see Shakey is carrying a back injury so maybe that has slowed him down, but wonder what's going on with Hutchy down in 21st position.
Cookstown, unfortunately work is getting in the way but hopefully the BBC will show it.

A back injury would definitely explain Shakey's poor qualifying but it was still a good show from Michael though. Not sure about Hutchy and haven't seen anything suggesting mechanical issues etc? What will be interesting is to see how the Yamaha and Beemer fare on the roads? Remember the late Richard Britton's experience? The Cresent Suzuki was an absolute flyer on the track but a complete dog on the road..... M.

Just seen the results for BSB Race 1 and Michael finished up 24th, one behind Hutchy with 0.3 seconds separating them. What a race by Shakey though - Finished first ahead of Walker from a 13th place start! Felt for Brookes though but at least he's all right. Full results HEREM.

Another win for Shakey in Race Two - so, if he's carrying a back injury, God help the rest of them once he's fully fit! On a more worrying note, Michael retired after 5 laps with some commentators saying it was due to an injury picked up yesterday in qualifying. There are even reports circulating that he might have sustained a broken arm! Hope not and hopefully we'll see him at Cookstown next Friday. M.

Well done Shakey.
Was Shakey being a bit cagey about his fitness?
Walker, now there's a surprise, was it a flash in the pan or has he got a good bike to ride.

Not sure about Shakey playing mind games - starting 13th on the grid was one hell of a gamble if he was! The man's something else but Brookes' performance in Race 2 was pretty impressive as well. We'll have to see if the Yamaha is as fast on the roads........ The Stalker had a good first race but didn't seem to be quite on the pace in Race 2? Still, another fast bloke and it's interesting to see how many Kwaks made up the top ten. Word is that Michael may have a broken wrist so Cookstown looks doubtful but I wouldn't put it past him....... M.

All being well it looks like Michael's suffered a badly bruiseed arm rather than a break. This is taken from the BMW Buildbase site this morning: Not sure if he'll make Cookstown though....... M.

Looks like a good days racing was had at Cookstown. Derek Shiels had a blinder and young William Dunlop was in the mix but what a performance by Michael! Two wins (Supersport 2 and Supertwins) with a suspected broken arm! FFS! He reckons it'll probably need plated and he'll hopefully be fit for the Northwest. More details about him and today's racing HERE. Anyone who doubts that lad's commitment to the home nationals should seriously think again. M.

Well done indeed, I liked this quote "I didn't feel the injury during the Supersport race. But I feel the pain now."
I've been looking through the bbc tv listings but can't seem to find if the race will be shown on tv.

Last year's race highlights were shown on BBC 1 on the 14th of May so I would expect something similar this time around. M.

Think Michael done well considering he has a suspected broken arm !!! Big shock with Dan Kneen winning the big race of the day and a new comer aswellSome new front runners this year Tandragee should be interesting The lad did well and beat William by less than half a second! Apparently Dan Kneen was in the second group and had a clear run all the way through the race with William stating he backed off on the last lap to save the bike thinking he had it won? Some people are claiming it was unfair but Dan came over the line with the fastest time and won fair and square as far as I can see. I suspect if there's a similar situation at Tandragee you'll see William keeping it pinned...... I've heard Michael doesn't have a broken arm so it must have been badly bruised or something? Latest is he will be at Oulton Park for the next BSB rounds but there'll be no Tandragee unfortunately. M.
